MCSA (Rec Swim League of KC)
We're excited to host our first league-wide clinics! This year is the first initiative.
As this will be informal, we'd like to have our parents collaborate and work together to practice skills needed for our upcoming meets. Parents are welcome to bring their swimmers to participate in demonstrating in-water skills and to ask any questions needed for each position. The setup will run similar to a small mock-meet for review and feedback. Much slower pace than a normal meet for parents to discuss and give feedback.

It is still not too late to signup. We welcome all parents/swimmers available and interested. We have lead volunteers from last season who are willing to assist new parents. These clinics will take place at Gladstone Community Center (Indoor Pool). Park in the main parking and then meet in lobby. We'll welcome parents in the lobby area to then be directed towards the pool.

Roles include: Starter, Announcer, Clerk of the Course, Timer, Stroke and Turn Judge, Computer Admin and Data Entry, Meet Results and Ribbon Labels, Runners, Concessions, etc. Plus Appeals Committee and Expectations for Coaching Staff.
FYI: Coaches and Lead Parents will assist parents in stations. Parents are welcome to rotate and practice at different stations.

Welcome!
Welcome to the Metropolitan Community Swim Association (MCSA) Summer Swim League. Our League comprises of Liberty Storm, Riptide Aquatics, and Gladstone Gators swim teams.
The main goal of this program is to provide a Parks and Recreation sponsored swim team program, in which boys and girls are able to participate in an organized training program that exposes them to competition in an area-based municipal league. MCSA strives to provide a positive and friendly atmosphere emphasizing the skills and stroke development of participants while exposing them to the sport of competitive swimming.
The MCSA is a B-C Developmental League that is not intended to rival local USA Swim Club teams or other leagues, but rather to encourage the participation and development of swimmers in what can be described as a “recreational” league as opposed to a “competitive” league.
Our season runs from June through July and consists of tri meets, followed by one Tri-Championship meet.
